EBE engineers designed the HVAC systems for Mitsubishi’s two story tilt-up 116,000 square foot fully air-conditioned gas and steam turbine production facility in Orlando.  In addition to the production area, the plant contains roughly 20,000 square feet of office support space.  Space and process cooling is provided from an outdoor equipment yard consisting of multiple large air-cooled chillers and pumps. 

EBE managed the MEP design team and designed HVAC systems for a new 18,000 square foot, ISO Class 5 clean room at TriQuint Semiconductor.   TriQuint designs, manufactures, and supplies high- performance RF modules, components and foundry services and is the number-three worldwide leader in GaAs devices and the world’s largest commercial GaAs foundry.  Design features included specialized chilled water HVAC systems to accommodate specific environmental parameters, laminar air flow, and cleanliness requirements.

Planned Living Community Amenities Buildings:  Engley Brooks takes pride in the role we play in providing exceptional planned living communities.  We performed the MEP/FP design for AV Homes’ 24,000 square-foot lakefront resort-style Captiva Club at Vitalia at Tradition in Port St. Lucie, Florida.  The clubhouse, which won the National Association of Home Builders “Best of 50+” Silver Award, includes a Cyber Café, Demonstration Kitchen, Billiards Room, Fitness Center, and more.  Engley Brooks has also provided design for several other AV Homes communities, including Parade of Homes 1st Place Winner Solivita and the traditional gated family community of Bellalago.

Engley Brooks employees have assisted the religious community with renovations and new construction for over 20 years.  We have designed several renovations for the First Baptist Church of Orlando including a central energy plant upgrade and, most recently, a major renovation of the thirty-year-old, 6,000 seat sanctuary.  During this design-build project, we worked closely with contractors and end-users to design a facility that incorporates cutting-edge audiovisual and production technology to enhance the congregation’s experience and provide a more intimate place of worship.

Engley Brooks designed the HVAC and plumbing systems for The Roper Garden Building/Green Sky Growers in accordance with Florida Green Building Coalition standards for the first Certified Green building in the world with commercial-scale, Aqua-Dynamic farming on the rooftop. Our design included systems to support Green Sky Growers, a rooftop farm with hydroponic greenhouses and a fish farm that produces tons of fresh vegetables and fish on an annual basis without the use of harmful pesticides. Special features included application of storm water reclamation, innovative wastewater technology, ventilation rate effectiveness, water use reduction, and thermal comfort standards.

What We’ve Done

Engley Brooks has extensive experience in the Hospitality industry, including everything from chain restaurants to Microbreweries.  We are especially proud of our contribution to planning neighborhood markets that provide a gathering place for communities and contribute to a unique local food culture like East End Market in the Audubon Park Garden District of Orlando, Florida.  The market provides a venue for local tradespeople, artists and chefs and includes an incubator kitchen, offices, retail shops, and a Latin-fusion restaurant.
